Glacial Pools

Released in 2015, Glacial Pools is the first album from Thirst and the Cow (TATC).   The album is a collection of improv soundscapes from late 2014 and 2015 that were all performed exclusively with the Touch Guitars U8 triggering synth sounds and looping with Logic Pro X.  All pieces are as recorded during the performance with no overdubs/additions.

The album uses an interactive live looping technique that Tim was exploring during this period, involving recording tracks in Logic Pro, looping them and editing the tracks live as they played, and layering on additional tracks with the same approach.

Inspired by the Glaciers and Glacial Pools of Iceland.
