Gates

Originally Released in January of 2021, with a remastered release in August of 2021, Gates was the first album from thirst and the cow in 6 years.   This album bridges the techniques used in the first TATC album (Glacial Pools) with new approaches used on later TATC ambient albums.

All sounds in the album were made from either recorded audio of the u8 Touch Guitar through various combinations of hardware effects pedals, or by triggering synth sounds in the DAW while playing the U8.  Each piece was recorded in a single evening with no later overdubs or additional tracks.
